Hannah's Portfollio Is Now Online!
Hannah's portfolio is now online! Check out the photos of her body piercing expertise. Also make sure you see the new photos in our "Jewelry" section of the site. Hannah has filled out our jewelry case quite nicely so make sure you come in to check out our new wares.

Art For Sale!
Fatty is in the process of creating museum grade limited edition fine art reproductions (giclee) of all paintings and artwork. Each piece is printed on canvass and will be gallery wrapped, hand painted, sealed, signed and numbered by Fatty. Some of them have 3 dimensional additions as well. Each reproduction is done individually and is it's own custom piece of art. This art is currently on display and for sale at the shop. Many of the pieces on display are the first printings. Come on in soon to get the early editions of Fatty's art. We will also be adding an "Art For Sale" section to the web site soon to display this art online.

More Awards For Fatty!
Fatty recently won 2 more tattoo awards to add to his collection! Fatty has now won 12 awards in international tattoo competitions. He took 1st place for best backpiece and 1st place for best sleeve at the 2009 Immersed in Ink Tattoo & Arts Festival in Austin Texas. Check out the award winning tattooz "Avalokiteshvara" and "Pat's Planet" in Fatty's portfolio to see the winning pieces.
We want to give a special thanks to our good friend Pat Malafronte for representing Fatty's in Austin and bringing home the gold. Thanks Pat!

Piercing Update
Our head piercer and good friend Jason Simmons has moved from the area. As many of you know, Jason has been a part of the Fatty's crew for the last 6 years. Jason's smooth touch and personality have been appreciated by many of you over the last decade, and we are sad to see him go and we wish him well on his journey.
The good news is that we are pleased to announce the arrival of our new head piercer, Hannah Cherry. Hannah seems to fit well with the Fatty's vibe, and she brings a fresh energy to the shop that we think you will like. Hannah is skilled in all of the standard piercings but she is also one of the few piercer's in DC that do dermal implants and other surface piercings. We will update the "Piercing" section of the site soon with some examples of Hannah's work and her biography.

ART ATTACK! Update
Fatty's first art show ART ATTACK! was held on July 18th and was a huge success. Many of our friends and fans came out to enjoy wine, cheese, and Fatty's paintings. Fatty thanks those of you who attended this event.
Make sure you check out the "Paintings and Art" section to check out the paintings that were in the show. Many of the paintings will remain on display so you can come into the shop and check out the art live and in person.
We will add a new section to the site soon titled "Art Shows" which will have photo's of the event so stay tuned!

Obamathon Update
The Obamathon was a huge success and we had a lot of fun. We met a lot of new out-of-town folks, but we were surprised at how many of our regular's showed up for the event. A big thanks to all of you who showed up and made it a party! We did some Obama inspired tattooz and piercings, gave out free door prizes, and had a blast. Unfortunately the winner of the Obama tattoo portrait drawing backed out at the last minute, so no winner for the free Barack Obama portrait. Darn!
The good news is that the event generated a lot of media coverage. Fatty was interviewed on NPR, was asked to go on Fox's morning show (which we declined), and was mentioned in dozens of news articles around the globe. We have added a "Media Links" option so you can link directly to some of these articles and future media coverage. Enjoy!

We have totally upgraded the shop recently and we have taken down all of the old tattoo flash and replaced it with our custom art and paintings. We have changed our format to more truly represent what we do for our clients. Check out the new shop photos on the site or better yet, check out the new look in person and pay us a visit.

August 11, 2008: Site Updates
Updates to web site: You will notice a few new changes to the site. We have updated our bio's and added a portfolio section for Steve (instead of just a link to his site). You will notice many new tattoo and art photos in Fatty's tattoo portfollio. Some of the tattoo photos will have extra detail explaining the concept behind the piece, the history with the client, and any other interesting information that comes to mind. These client profiles are marked with a mini red mask. Just select the red mask icon to learn more about each piece. We hope to add more of these client profiles as time passes. We have also added two new sections to the site: "Job Opportunities/Tattoo apprenticeships" and "In Process" which documents the tattooing process of some of the larger designs. We're hoping to add to this section as time passes with your participation. We have changed the "Jewelry" section to "Jewelry and Piercing" and added the body piercing prices. We want to thank all of you who continue to give us great reviews and testimonials online. You are all welcome to add us as a link on your web page, myspace, facebook etc. It is you who help make all this art and expression possible! Thanks also to InsaneShane for continuing to maintain the site.
